You and Who’sday – 30 Cities in 90 Days – NYC, Newark, Back for TEDxBuffalo
Our ninth installment documenting Dan Gigante’s nationwide tour on behalf of his Buffalo-based, community-driven apparel company finds the travelin’ man on a TEDx-induced respite…
By Dan Gigante, President, You and Who
On this You and Who’sday I’m actually in Buffalo at TEDxBuffalo. I was proud to be part of the planning committee before “30 Cities in 90 Days” came along, at which point, I had to dial down my participation. I’m excited to be participating in this important event for Buffalo as both a volunteer, and the provider of shirts to commemorate this occasion. You and Who is providing shirts for both the staff and volunteers, and a limited number will be on sale during the event itself. Any remaining shirts will be available for purchase at www.youandwho.com. As with the non artist-designed shirts that we sell, You and Who is donating a meal for each shirt sold to Buffalo City Mission.
To briefly recap where we are with the “30 Cities,” last week was spent visiting New York City and Newark. In NYC, we were able to establish working relationships with Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation and NYC Rescue Mission and are still finalizing relationships with Newark-based organizations. We have some great retail prospects, as well. As always, if you know of any recommendations for us, we are always open to suggestions!
The break home in Buffalo has been great, as I’ve been able to recharge and reconnect with some folks before I gear up for ten consecutive days on the road to cities 18 through 21: Boston, Phoenix, Houston and Austin. By the end of next stretch, we’ll be more than two-thirds of the way done – hard to believe this is going by so fast, but I hope you’re enjoying the journey with me – if you know of any artists and/or organizations in those cities that would be interested in getting involved with You and Who, please let me know!
