We’re having a li’l get together tonight in Larkinville – join us in Larkin Square (intersection of Seneca & Swan Sts, 5-8pm, all ages) for Round 3 of the 13-week Live at Larkin free Wednesday concert series presented by First Niagara, featuring Son of the Sun, Stacy Clark, and the Larkinville Players.
We’ve had a ton of fun with Son of the Sun, from packing local clubs to setting up shop at the South By Southwest Music Festival and taking Toronto for North By Northeast. They are polished and primed for the bigtime and promising doors continue to open, such as landing songs on MTV shows and being namedropped by Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz as one of his favorite bands. They’re gonna make many new fans at our get together tonight, for the scene at Larkin Square has been such that folks come for the setting itself, and leave with a greater appreciation for local music. Once again, the music will be surrounded by food and drink from The Filling Station, Square 1 Sandwiches, and The Grill, and the Larkin Square Marketplace, complete with nine local vendors including Arden Farm and You and Who – the latter of which has sponsored multiple events of ours with Son of the Sun, such as the Home for the Holidays concert series in December 2010 and our SXSW adventures this year.
Good things happen with Good Neighbors get together – dig this live cut from Son of the Sun at Artpark, and see it live tonight in Larkinville!
