It is becoming more and more difficult to differentiate products and services these days. Tried and proven solutions are favored by competing brands, which results in mostly similar approaches to marketing. What’s popular is safe, but it is not exciting anymore.

Breaking out of the existing mindset

Taking the path less traversed

If everyone were to accept things as they are, we’d still be in the Stone Age. All innovations of civilization took form in a questioning mind – a mind that dared to challenge the status quo. Perhaps the main ingredient to cultivating the attitude is to consider things as always changeable.

A thinker who believes there is always room for improvement can easily think outside the box. A problem solver who is informed by a forward-thinking approach will undoubtedly come up with a digital marketing strategy that is different from others.

Marketers can benefit from considering the qualities of a progressive thinker. One must be willing to take on a new perspective on everyday things. One must be open to the possibilities available and try out new ways of doing things. It helps to be unforced in accepting ideas and suggestions from others.

Shooting others down because they do not subscribe to the same beliefs could mean losing brilliant ideas. The drive to find new and better ideas is the fuel that sustains a progressive thinker. Most importantly, out-of-the-box thinker recognize the merits of a relaxed attitude – the kindling for creative solutions.
